Walk the Wild

2022

Self-Published | A Hiking Journal in the Mountains of Thailand

Having grown up and lived in Bangkok, our chaotic capital city, I fell in love with the remote mountains on the edges of the country. Since undergrad, we began to form a group of friends who loved hiking, and we would make trips a couple of times a year. Especially after graduating in 2017 when our full-time jobs dispersed everyone during the year, the trips had always been when we could catch up and connect while disconnecting from the outside world.

In my fourth year after undergrad, I moved to Cambridge for grad school at the GSD in 2021. Not only me that had felt missed out from our tradition, but many friends had moved on to their exciting next chapters abroad as well. Looking back, now that those years in our early 20s had flown, I cherish these memories even more. In 2022, I finally gathered the paintings I did for the trips and self-published this volume as a personal record to share with my lovely friends. I just hope we can keep these fun memories forever.
