The area of University Station of Westwood is a model to demonstrate a new mixed-used node with an anchor program as Public Education along with the affords in Transit Oriented development and Landscape remediation. As suburbs offer land and space, unlike the dense down town, it is economically feasible and provides an environment that suits learning and families. Four different types of programs: educational, recreational, commercial, and residential is established. Educational facilities are clustered in the center of the site to create a dynamic synergy of the campus The train station extends to a commercial hub to generate flow. Affordable residential units for new community and students make the buffer from the existing neighborhood uphills. Facilities for special care, children and elders are placed in a walkable distance from the residences. Lifelong Campus proposes an intergenerational neighborhood with the new residents and visitors. The new hub of Westwood will create positive socioeconomies that can generate new job positions for all ages across the campus.
