Massive structures of these elevated rails are running towards every direction of this expanding city of Bangkok. At the same time, a large number of communities have been living illegally by the route long before the development plans. Thus, they are told to be excelled.

The contradiction here is that after the construction of the elevated rails, the huge space below is left useless - in the context of high demand of land in such metropolis. Furthermore, having no-one left living along the rails, the insecurity isn't only for the people that had to flee, but also all of us, Bangkokians living in this city. With no more eye-on-street, the entire route becomes miles of crime-risk areas.

Thus, 'Shading Shades' is a proposal that aims to answer all above issues; housing for the community, safety for the city, serving the public, creating a pleasant scenery, by using the space formed by giant rails wisely.
